back-to-school family event

Join us for a special day of support, celebration, and community as we help children and caregivers in the foster care system gear up for a great school year. This back-to-school event will provide children with brand-new backpacks, essential school supplies, and a chance to enjoy fun summer activities.

Whether you're a caregiver seeking support or a volunteer eager to make a difference, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to come together as a village. Volunteers will assist with setup, supply distribution, activity stations, and creating a warm and welcoming environment for families. Every backpack packed and every smile shared helps children start the school year with confidence and joy.

Let’s make this a day to remember for the kids and the community that surrounds them.

HELP US EQUIP OUR KIDS FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL

We’re collecting new backpacks and school supplies for children in foster care, and there are two easy ways to give: shop directly from our Amazon Wish List or purchase items anywhere and drop them off at our Resource Center. Every donation helps us equip kids with confidence and reminds them they’re not alone.

Items Needed:

  • Backpacks (All ages and genders)

  • Spiral Notebooks

  • Pens and Pencils

  • Markers and Colored Pencils

  • Highlighters

  • Folders

  • Binders

  • Glue Sticks

  • Water Bottles

We will have donation bins set outside our Resource Center (5605 George Bush Dr.) where you can drop off items at any time.

If you are a caregiver who would like to attend this event, we will send an email when sign-up is open.
